Controlling Access to Call Recordings

The Call Recording feature works just like voicemail within Tresta: system administrators have the ability to grant individual users or user groups access to the call recordings of a given phone number.

This article covers how to add or delete subscribers to call recordings for your Tresta phone numbers. It’s important to note that a system administrator is automatically subscribed to call recordings when enabled. Other users must be added by a system administrator.

Note: The information below assume that you have a phone number where the Call Recording function is enabled. 

Adding Subscribers to Call Recordings

If you’re a system administrator, log into the Tresta web app and click on the Settings button. As you might remember, call recording is enabled and disabled within the Phone Numbers tab under your System Components within the System Settings.

Once you’re on the Phone Numbers page, select the phone number from which you want other users to receive call recordings, and click the Edit icon.

Once you’re on the Edit Phone Number page, scroll down to the Subscribers section. Click on the +Add Subscriber link; this populates a new dropdown with all of the users and user groups available. Select who you’d like to add. After adding any users and user groups, click the Save button in the top right corner of the page.

As an example, Bob of ABC Company loves to be on sales calls, but he can’t be on every call. Bob subscribed Jane, his top sales person, so they can discuss these sales calls and improve upon future sales tactics.

Deleting Subscribers from Call Recordings

Once again, make your way to the Phone Numbers tab under your System Components within the System Settings. Once you’re on the Phone Numbers page, select the phone number from which you want to delete subscribers to call recordings  and click the Edit icon.

When you’re on the Edit Phone Number page, scroll down to the Subscribers section. Click on the Delete icon; this instantly removes a subscriber. After removing users and user groups as needed, click the Save button in the top right corner of the page. Tresta displays a log of historical changes to the call recording subscriptions just below the dropdown box.
