Viewing and Replying to Messages in Conversations
When your Tresta phone number(s) receives a new text message, the message will be delivered to the mobile app of each user that’s configured to receive messages from the phone number.
To view the message, tap the push notification you receive or you can select the conversation from the main Messages screen.
Replying to messages is pretty much the same as replying to messages in any other messaging app, but if you’ve added additional users to your phone system, be mindful that you may not be the only user with access to view and reply to the conversation you’re viewing. For more on this topic, review Controlling who is able to view, send, and reply to text messages.
Unlike voicemail boxes, each subscribed user maintains their own read state and deleted state, so if one user reads a message it will still show as new for other users who have not yet reviewed it.
If another user is typing in the conversation you’re viewing, you’ll see an indication of this above the compose area.
Also please bear in mind that while you can see the name of the users that are sending messages from your number in the conversation, the external person you are texting only sees that the messages are coming from your Tresta phone number – there is no indication that one message was sent by Tresta user Bob and the next message was sent by Tresta user Susan.
